About

Handcut Designs is a Chicago-based creative and web development business with deep roots in Wicker Park's artistic community.

Founder Alex Magana has been part of the neighborhood since 1995. From 2001 to 2007, he was based in the iconic Flat Iron Building, where he created the Flatiron Project and participated in the neighborhood's Around the Coyote arts events.

That longstanding connection to Chicago's creative community continues to influence his approach to design, technology, and helping local businesses succeed online.

Today, through Handcut Designs and One Web Nerd, Alex brings that combination of creative experience and technical expertise to businesses throughout Chicago and beyond.
